PB Devotions

“Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭5‬-‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

As we go through life it is easy to forget that the Lord is coming back. I encourage you today to live in this truth. The return of Jesus Christ puts every circumstance, situation and event in perspective. The God of peace is with me is the perspective we should view everything through; no matter what it looks like. This is how we pray about everything and worry about nothing. This is why we thank Him for everything He has done and everything He is going to do. The God of peace is with me. His hand is on my life. We must live for Christ to experience this goodness. Then and only then can His peace guard our hearts and our minds. Never forget to focus on the things above. Look up and refocus your focus. The Lord will lift you up. When we are positioned above a situation things “perspective” is different.

So fix your thoughts, words and deeds. The God of peace is with you. Allow the Holy Spirit to remind you of “The Way” and incline your heart towards heaven. All of this takes practice. I encourage you today to start practicing and practice more. Start by just acknowledgeing that the God of peace is present and His hand is on my life.
