PB Devotion
A great people has been moved to defend a great nation. Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shattered steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve. America was targeted for attack because we're the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world. And no one will keep that light from shining.
- President Bush Jr.
The life you live today is on the back of men and women you've never met and you never will. Never forget their death gave you freedom. Soldiers faced impossible situations head on; knowing they would never come home. Never forget this is a reality for many American families. They were a mom, dad, brother, sister and someones child.
As followers of “The Way” Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our life and story. Religious freedoms in America ensures we can worship our Lord and Savior freely without any level of persecution. Among the many freedoms we have we are grateful and thankful we can let our light shine.
America is the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world. And no one will keep that light from shining.
God bless America and God bless the American solider and their families who gave all.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.
